I was lucky enough to have captured this moment of my grown children putting up the Christmas village for the first time in years. You see we’ve been torn apart, hurt beyond words, silenced by our pain. The story is long, complicated and familiar to many.
Healing, forgiveness, needed help, and most of all love are moving us forward into a place of peace.
Winter has now descended upon us
No turning back
Embrace what comes
Bundled up in scarfs, hats, mittens
Take the cold air in
Wishing for warmth
Dreaming of summer
Somewhere close are the beavers who are chewing on this, and several other trees. Once they were all but completely wiped out of North America. And here they are back. Nature will always go on with or without us Humans. We’re not very good stewards of our only planet. This tree gives me hope that no matter what we do, survival is part of our living planet too.
Way too chilly for an unprepared bike rider today,
Empty trail- except for the hikers.
They must know something.
How do you keep your toes from freezing as you ride?
No matter – we’ll hike through the winter.
One last beautiful reminder of
The autumn leaves on the ground
The pine needles scenting the air
The last hints of summer warmth
The colors…oh my the colors!
The chance to breathe in the moment
As the season changes
With my best friend
Taking it all in
Connecting with Nature
